On November 28th, Shenzhen Zhijianeng Automation Co., Ltd. (ZOCONO for short) signed an investment agreement with Anhui Wuwei Economic Development Zone. ZOCONO's lithium battery production line smart manufacturing equipment project will officially settle in Wuwei, Anhui Province.
The signing ceremony was attended by Gao Wei, Deputy Mayor of Wuwei Municipal Government, as well as leaders from the Municipal Bureau of Investment and Planning, Economic and Information Bureau, Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Finance Bureau, Ecological Environment Sub-Bureau, Investment Promotion Center, and Wuwei Economic Development Zone. Also present were Zhang Kunming, General Manager of ZOCONO, Chen Liangcai, Executive Vice General Manager, Yu Xianyou, Operations Vice General Manager, and Jady Jiang, Director and Partner.
This signing represents the official launch of ZOCONO's Yangtze River Delta Headquarters Center and its smart manufacturing equipment for lithium battery complete production line project.
Settle in Wuwei, promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region
As a leader in the smart manufacturing equipment industry, ZOCONO has been rooted in the high-end equipment and automation field for over 20 years, having provided extensive services to renowned domestic and international clients in industries such as new energy and semiconductors.
With the continuous expansion of its business, ZOCONO has established three smart manufacturing industrial bases in Shenzhen and Dongguan, China, and set up a subsidiary in Hungary to expand its industrial presence in the new energy industry in Europe. Now, by establishing a subsidiary in Wuwei， ZOCONO will further expand its industrial presence in the new energy industry and contribute to the development of Wuwei's green industrial chain, as well as the construction of a distinctive industrial highland in the Yangtze River Delta region and important growth impetus for high-quality development in Anhui province.
The planned investment for this base is over RMB 2 billion, primarily for the construction of two major projects: Back-end intelligent lithium batteries manufacturing equipment and precision structural components for batteries. The total occupied area is approximately 200 Mu(around 133333 m2, and it will be developed in two phases. The first phase is scheduled to commence construction in January 2024, with production kick-off in June 2024.
Match downstream demand, deepen market presence
Anhui, as a major province for automobile manufacturing, has attracted famous auto companies such as BYD, Volkswagen, Chery, NIO, JAC, Chang'an, and Hanma Technology. It has also drawn numerous tech talents and upstream/downstream enterprises, forming a relatively complete collaborative industry chain. This has laid a solid foundation for the creation of a new energy vehicle industry cluster with international competitiveness.
To better meet customer demands, strengthen customer coverage, and enhance delivery capabilities in the Yangtze River Delta region, ZOCONO has strategically chosen the Wuwei base to be located adjacent to the BYD manufacturing base. This integrated facility combines R&D, production, sales, and operations, providing strong support for ZOCONO's significant growth in the lithium battery intelligent equipment and battery-specific precision structural components sectors in the Yangtze River Delta region.
